NARRATIVE OVERVIEW
The narrative of my music video is unstructured and is very ambiguous regarding the lyrics. The main idea of the music video is to introduce abstract moments, including a gentle girl dancing, to represent the movement of things. This has a strong link to the lyrics of the song as it talks about the phases after the break up, creating a strong reference to the development of things, time and continuous movement of life. The idea of creating ambiguous references to this is to let the audience have their own interpretation and a more personal connection as it can relate to themselves.
My intention of doing this is due to the target audience being between the ages of 18 and 24, who tend to have a more defined personal musical genre such as pop music, however many young people in this age range are interested in alternative and indie music. Music videos with contemplative lyrics, distinctive imagery, and imaginative storytelling may be very successful with this demographic. Overall, what people between the ages of 18 and 24 look for in music videos varies greatly based on their own likes and hobbies
MUSIC VIDEO ANALYSIS

These are the first six scenes of the music video before the lyrics begin. I picked these six scenes to start the music video in order to establish the essential moments of the video, which would be continued and developed throughout the video. My goal with this beginning is to get the spectator acclimated to the artist metaphors that will be utilised to portray the artist's feelings in the video. The first scene is at a fire place, which shows how vivid his old relationship is still and how they did everything together, signifying a large rather than a tiny fire since they were a team. The idea is then established in the next three scenes, which clearly reveal to the viewer that the girl they are being introduced to will be the primary actor in the music video. Furthermore, the violin and the burning of the music sheet demonstrate the concept of how playing the violin is a recall of his former connection, owing to its romantic implications in romantic movies, and the music sheet is the burning of that previous relationship. While the violin is frequently played for love couples, this is a very ambiguous and creative picture, implying that the music sheet depicts the tale of that passionate pair. The aim of burning the music sheet is to demonstrate how he is gradually letting go of the past and entering the grieving stage following the end of a relationship. Ultimately, the single candle depicts how he is now alone, without his significant person, but he still feels some affection for them, which allows him to go on.

Despite the fact that there are more scenes, these four might be difficult to understand depending on the viewer's perspective. The first scene is synced with the lyrics and how it references "the weight of your laughter," indicating former occasions when they were joyful and smiling; this is why it is in black and white to give the illusion of a flashback and let the listener think this is all in the past. The purpose for painting the white canvas black was to represent the artist's mixed emotions, and how the girl is a representation of these sentiments. The contrast between the calm and simplicity he felt earlier and the grief and anguish of the black canvas is striking. Lastly, the contrast between the burning music sheet and the original music sheet depicts how the relationship was alright at one point, but it is no longer conceivable for them.

The music video follows a highly imprecise and confused narrative owing to the ambiguity and abstractness of the song lyrics. The basic goal behind having the actress paint and dance is to convey the genre conventions through an aesthetic means of conveying feelings. The purpose behind the girl making several delicate motions with her arms is to represent time passing and going on. Also, the fourth scene is the only one in the video where the audience can clearly comprehend the artist's sentiments in the song. The girl is in a black and white filter to emphasise that these sentiments are in the past and are more of a recollection than anything else the present. The girl is striking the white canvas as a depiction of a previous relationship and how, while not everything is over, she does not want to know anything about it.

Finally, the thoughts shown at the end of the video are all a progression of the artist's mixed feelings. The red heart in the canvas that the girl was painting at the beginning of the video represents how he is repairing himself, and the blowing out candle represents how he does not need to feel this anger towards the previous relationship in isolation, as he has already moved on or managed to control his emotions.
Overall, I believe I was able to convey a cohesive approach of expressing this music using indie genre principles. This will make the target audience feel recognised because of its originality and ambiguity, providing room for them to have their own personal interpretation of the song in a basic way, extremely different from a mainstream music video.
